Explore, Envision, Embrace, Empower the Woman in you!
At a very young age Sharla was dutifully informed that she “wore her heart on her sleeve”. This is where her compassion and love of listening works well with her desire to embrace her love of Psychology and Coaching Women. After your journey with Sharla you will also be able to embrace the heart that God gave specifically to you. You will experience her highly developed intuition, her wisdom and her spiritual sensitivity that allows her to intuit and see "truths" that you may have unintentionally ignored or been unable to identify. Mt. St. Helens = Fear, Challenge, Obstacle = A Win!!!!
When Rolf first asked me to climb Mt. St. Helens with him I thought to myself, "he is crazy, very crazy!". However I am competitive and was not about to back down. I was not sure how I was going to get in shape, face my fear of heights and stay warm on that snow covered mountain but I was determined!
I trained daily, not knowing what I was doing but yet determined.
I visited to REI to talk with those "in the know" and they suggested for a newbie to use crampons and an ice ax! YOUSA! Ok, after that I almost gave up, but I continued to move forward one step at a time .
The day came and I felt ready. Early in the climb we had to literally hug the side of the Mountain to get to the base. I truly had to think back to the most fearful time of my life to see how I got passed that to keep moving forward. . . . .that and I did not want to look like a chicken. So. . . . I moved on. It became one of the most memorable days in my life - one to not repeat, however I did it. I hiked up with a friend, and Rolf scurried up, summiting before I. As he saw us coming, he came back down (nuts!) and then returned with me to summit the mountain. . . . AGAIN.
What a true blessing to now understand another facet of God's infinite beauty and design. We sat on the ridge eating our lunch (with me hoping the cliff would stay intact) and then scurried on our buns down the Mountain on garbage bags!!!!
