I woke early this morning with a gazillion things on my mind – however only two seemed to shake me awake and not allow sleep to take me away again. Blissful Escapes was inspired by my son – a stay at the Caring Cabin owned by the CCA when he was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma. Jan 2011 we held our first Moms of Children with Cancer retreat at the cabin and it was an awe-inspiring success!! So much so that the CCA indicated I could continue holding the retreats at the Caring Cabin once per year. But none of us expected that they would have such an influx of families that they would not be able to continue to offer such extravagant grace to the moms. Sadly I received news yesterday that they are too full. So now I am lifting Blissful Escapes up in prayer. We have a scheduled, planned retreat for January 20-22, 2012 with no location. We do not have funds to pay for a location this year. These moms desperately need a chance to fully rest, regain some balance, learn new coping techniques and to simply have someone else be there caretaker for the weekend!

So today I need to walk by faith, pray and know that their is a much larger plan for these moms that I simplly can not see.

I was inspired this morning to share with you exactly what coaching is and what it can do for you. Wiki definition of coaching is ~

Coaching, with a professional coach, is the practice of supporting an individual, referred to as a coachee or client, through the process of achieving a specific personal or professional result. The structure and methodologies of coaching are numerous but are predominantly facilitating in style; that is to say that the coach mainly asks questions and challenges the coachee. Coaching is differentiated from therapeutic and counselling disciplines.

Coaches give you the opportunity to evaulate key areas of your life, design your goals and find support and resources for your journey. Life coaches are trained professionals who assist you with achieving your life goals and redesigning aspects of your life. There are a variety of approaches within the coaching methodology. Coaching is performed with individuals and groups, in person, over the phone and online.

I have created a coaching model for woman to walk away feeling successful, at peace, full of joy and a sustaining foundational truth for themselves. It is a holistic approach in that we look at your foundational truths. We approach each area of your life, spiritual, physical, career, relationships, health and financial to recreate a new foundation that allows you to achieve new goals, live in peace, balance and joy.

Sample Questions during a coaching session~

Who are your role models of good health?

What places make you feel energized and healthy?

Make a list of all the things you loved to do as a child.(this has a direction coorelation with God’s will for your life)

Where am I not speaking up?

What can I do to make this relationship better?

We will create intention ~ for example ~

Writing in a gratitude journal

Taking dailey walks in nature

Visualize an ideal relationship

Create a health model

We will celebrate ~

Decide on ways to reward yourself for different levels of health goals

Plan a special date or celebration party

Treat yourself to a special workshop

Vacation in a place that inspires you

I leave you with this thought ~

Peace is. . . . . . .. loving who I am.

Sadness and pain are signals for change and may be part of my necessary transformation. When I go through a time of change, I may experience feelings of depression and sadness. This may be a natural responce to letting go of my old beliefs, habits, or lifestyle. I am willing to be with whatever emotion is here. This experience may be temporary. Allowing my feelings to flow may inspire the creation of something new, ultimately transforming me and the moment.

As the old unauthentic parts of me are dissolving, I begin returning to my authentic self. I allow the REAL me to “grow”. I am at peace, knowing I am able to meet the “highs” and “lows” in life. Nothing anyone says or does can give me peace. The true peace I seek is already here within me.

I RETURN TO MY LOVING REAL SELF.

With much Love and Gratitude!

If you are anything like me I am sure you have often wondered, “How can I get away for a weekend and be pampered?” ”A mini break would rejuvinate me!” I do have hope for you – please mark your calendars for January 20-21, 2012. We will be holding our second annual Blissful Escapes at the Caring Cabin in Pacific City. Applications will be accepted beginning September 1, 2011. We will have openings for ten moms. The cost is free. Blissful Escapes, a non profit, was began by my own journey at the Caring Cabin with my family. . . . . my hope is to bring a quiet peace back to your soul, a hope that balance can be acheived and simply a weekend away where you can be taken care and pampered! We will have many treats in store. . . .massage, a nutritionist, restorative yoga, pedicures, and more! To watch a video of the retreat from 2011, please check the tab “Escapes for Moms”.

I look forward to meeting you!
